Q: What is Le PAWS ?
A: Le PAWS is a dog agency that books dogs in entertainment roles for TV commercials,
a featured film and a TV sitcom or a print ad.
Q: How do I get in touch with someone at Le PAWS?
Q: What kind of dogs is Le PAWS you looking for?
A: We are looking for all breeds of dogs, dogs that are well rounded, smart, will work for
food and have owners that love their dog and want to see it on TV.
Q: What kind of jobs are there?
A: Dogs are used in three basic types of work, commercials, film/TV and print. Dogs
appear in 1 out of 3 commercials on TV today. Dogs also appear in feature films and TV
shows and print companies use dogs in ads in hundreds of magazines.
Q: Does Le PAWS accept any and all dog candidates?
A: No, some dogs are not accepted during the evaluation phase. Any sign of aggression
towards people or other dogs is not allowed. Owners who use force verbally or
physically to make their dog obey are not accepted. Dogs that are not food or toy
motivated are also not accepted.
Q: Will my dog be safe on set?
A: Yes, extreme care is given for all dogs working on set. The Humane Society sends
one of their own representatives to every set that has any animal present. The purpose
is to protect all animals from harm. Every production company must adhere to these
standards. For a movie to get the excerpt “No animals were harmed while filming was
done.” The Humane Society insures every clip an animal was in, that one of their
representatives was present on the shoot.
Q: What if I live out of state?
A: Work maybe available to “Out of State” owners. Refer to the tool bar under “Our
Services” and “Contact Us.” Keep in mind most work is in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Q: Is it an agency or is it training?
A: Le PAWS is a dog agency, involved with booking dogs in entertainment jobs. We
would like to find several hundred dogs which are actually “Set Ready.” However, most
privately owned dogs are obedience trained, but are not trained “Hand Signal
Commands” from over 30 feet away. Training to work on set is necessary. Le PAWS
has studio trainers available for pet owners or they can work with their own studio
Q: Will my dog be on a T.V. show?
A: We will work booking your dog for roles, but no one can guarantee your dog will book
Q: Does my dog need to be pedigreed?
A: No, any type of dog can. Sometimes the "mutts" book the most work.
